Concept illustration sources

Created and revised on 2026-09-09 using the built-in Imagegen tool. These are approved concept illustrations, not engineering drawings, measured surface profiles or application screenshots. The current camera illustrations use revision 3 (free web, no rollers); the monitor uses revision 2 (subtle surface imperfection). All three PNGs are stored alongside this file.

Target examples supplied by the user: chatter marks, shallow imperfections approximately 2–5 mm in diameter and 0.1 mm deep, and orange-peel texture. Insets are illustrative magnifications, not calibrated measurements.

Final camera edit — revision 3

Applied to both revision 2 camera illustrations, preserving their lighting and surface-detail insets:

Edit only the material transport geometry in this technical illustration. Remove BOTH large cylindrical rollers/reels at left and right, including their axles, bearing blocks, feet and roller-specific mounting supports. Replace the curved/wrapped end sections of membrane with a straight flat continuous black membrane web that simply extends beyond the LEFT and RIGHT image boundaries, as if freely flying horizontally through the illustration. No visible ends, no winding/unwinding areas, no rollers, no conveyor bed, no replacement support equipment. Keep original perspective. Preserve all cameras and lights and THEIR supports, teal fields of view, amber light rays, original English labels, travel arrow, magnified surface detail inset and its leader, subtle nearly-flat orange-peel/chatter/dimple texture, white background and polished illustration style. Keep the inspection surface planar; no folds or dramatic damage. Everything except the rollers and membrane end geometry should remain as close to original as possible.

Surface correction — revision 2

Applied to the original three images; the monitor from this revision is the current final monitor.

Edit the supplied illustration. Preserve its professional styling, composition, equipment, camera/light geometry and typography. CRITICAL correction: real target defects are VERY SUBTLE surface finish defects on almost flat black membrane: fine chatter marks (faint repeated transverse bands), local shallow depressions 2–5 mm diameter and about 0.1 mm deep, and orange-peel microtexture (black material, not orange color). Absolutely NO raised folds, tears, open holes, peeled flaps, mountains, craters or severe deformation. Dimensions describe intended defect scale, NOT measured results. Surface should appear nearly intact; defects mainly detectable by slight grazing-light reflection changes. Replace the giant central mound with an almost invisible patch of faint closely spaced chatter bands on a flat taut sheet. Add a clean circular magnified detail inset in unused lower whitespace, with a thin leader to inspection region, showing subtle parallel satin reflection bands and a tiny shallow dimple, with no exaggerated relief or deep shadows. Label inset 'Magnified surface detail' and small 'Illustrative'. Keep all original camera/light labels. Main sheet must remain flat.

Surface should appear nearly intact; defects mainly detectable by slight grazing-light reflection changes. Remove the red tear completely and restore uninterrupted flat black material. Show only very faint local orange-peel microtexture in the inspection zone, visible as subtle variations in reflected light, not nodules. Add a small circular magnified detail inset in unused upper-right whitespace, thin leader to inspected region, showing black fine orange-peel texture and a very shallow softly edged tiny depression. Label 'Magnified surface detail' and 'Illustrative'. No red physical damage. Preserve upper and lower inspection arrangement.

Show a continuous almost flat satin black polymer surface filling the camera images, no sample sheet edge, no folds. Camera A diffuse light: a tiny faint round shallow dimple barely visible; Camera B grazing light: same subtle dimple more discernible by gentle reflection gradient, plus faint fine chatter bands in surrounding surface. Red thin rectangular detection overlays tightly enclose the small dimple; DO NOT paint the defect itself red, no opaque mask. Review crop is a magnified close-up of the same shallow dimple, softly edged and barely depressed, embedded in fine black orange-peel surface finish. Small review heading 'Magnified detail'; retain 'Surface anomaly', 'Unreviewed', Confirm/Reject and CONCEPT UI. No depth measurement, no confidence or accuracy. Overall visual message: software finds subtle imperfections that a human might overlook, NOT dramatic damage.

Original generation prompts — superseded appearance

Retained to document the source images used for editing. The folds and rollers described here were removed by the edits above.

Use case: scientific-educational. Create a polished editorial technical illustration for the English README of machine-vision-poc. Wide landscape 1536x1024. Off-white background, graphite equipment, teal camera viewing cones, warm amber illumination, restrained red for a surface defect. Attractive precise isometric 3D illustration with subtle shadows and clean technical callouts, ample whitespace, readable small set of English labels. No branding, no invented measurements, no performance metrics. This is a conceptual illustration, not a real installation. Scene: a dark flexible membrane travels horizontally across two support rollers, unobstructed inspection span between rollers. TWO cameras above the SAME upper surface: Camera A directly overhead looking vertically down, Camera B offset obliquely looking at the SAME small raised wrinkle. Each camera is a plausible compact industrial camera with lens aimed at inspection region. One large diffuse panel light above and offset so it doesn't obstruct camera A. One low LED bar beside membrane casting grazing light nearly parallel to its upper surface. Clearly separate translucent teal view cones from amber light rays. Show subtle shadow cast by wrinkle under grazing illumination. Simple directional arrow along membrane. Exact labels only: '01 / COMPLEMENTARY VIEWS', 'Camera A', 'Camera B', 'Diffuse light', 'Grazing light', 'Web travel'. Do not make light beams look like camera lasers. No screen.

Attractive precise isometric 3D illustration with subtle shadows and clean technical callouts, ample whitespace, readable small set of English labels. No branding, no invented measurements, no performance metrics. This is a conceptual illustration, not a real installation. Scene: TWO cameras inspect opposite surfaces of one horizontal dark flexible membrane stretched between widely spaced support rollers. Oblique cutaway side perspective makes open air above AND BELOW span visible. Camera A above looking down onto TOP surface; Camera B BELOW the membrane looking UP onto UNDERSIDE. Their fields terminate at respective surfaces; no transparent membrane, no rays passing through it. Small diffuse LED bar on each respective side illuminates its own surface, offset from optical paths. Clearly separate teal camera view cones and amber light rays. Membrane has no table or conveyor bed blocking lower camera. Professional clean geometry. Exact labels only: '02 / BOTH SURFACES', 'Top camera', 'Bottom camera', 'Top light', 'Bottom light', 'Web travel'. No screen.

Use case: ui-mockup. Create a polished editorial 3D illustration of a desktop PC monitor displaying a conceptual machine-vision inspection interface, for the English README of machine-vision-poc. Wide landscape 1536x1024, off-white background, graphite slim monitor, subtle studio shadows, slight perspective but nearly front-on for legibility. Same visual language as technical diagrams: teal accents, amber details, red only for defect alerts. Monitor fills most of composition. On screen exact header 'MACHINE VISION POC' and small badge 'CONCEPT UI'. Two side-by-side camera image panels labeled 'Camera A' and 'Camera B', each depicting the same dark grey membrane patch with a clear small raised fold in different lighting. Red bounding box tightly around fold, translucent red defect mask inside region. Prominent red status 'SUSPECTED DEFECT'. Small right or bottom review card with heading 'Human review', suggestion 'Surface anomaly', status 'Unreviewed', buttons 'Confirm' and 'Reject'. Small footer 'Capture → Detect → Review → Catalogue'. No confidence percentages, timestamps, physical dimensions, graphs, fake accuracy claims, logos, people, keyboards or unrelated objects. Beautiful finished product illustration, not a wireframe; English words correct and large. No implication of implemented software.
